A real driver shares his impressions of the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max: dynamics, space, technology and weak points that you should know about before purchasing.
Hello friends!
We continue our column with honest reviews from real owners. Today the focus is on Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max. Let's listen to what a person says who has already driven a decent amount of mileage and is ready to share his impressions without embellishment.
What I'm delighted with (and makes me smile while driving):
- Power - like a sports car (almost). The engine pulls so hard that when accelerating it slightly presses you into the seat. Overtaking on the highway is easy - you can feel the power reserve in any situation.
- All-wheel drive is confident and responsive. On light off-road conditions, the car does not give up: neither slush nor dirt roads become a problem. The owner notes: “You feel like you’re driving not a crossover, but a real road conqueror.”
- The interior is spacious and comfortable. Three rows of seats, a huge trunk (with the rear seats folded - almost two cubic meters!). Ideal for a large family: “Everyone is accommodated, things are too - and no one complains.”
- Technology - like in a spaceship. Large multimedia screen, projection onto the windshield, seat ventilation, nine airbags (including knee). And also an application for remote launch from a smartphone (paid for three years!).
- Comfort over long distances. Heated seats, good sound insulation, smooth ride - you can drive for hours and not get tired.
- The light is bright and all-seeing. LED headlights illuminate the road so that “every hole is visible,” and at night a feeling of daylight is created.
- Safety is top notch. The stabilization system works well, and all-wheel drive adds confidence in difficult conditions.
And now about the nuances (so that there is no “they didn’t warn us!”):
- Fuel consumption is not for the budget-conscious.In the city it easily goes over 10–12 l/100 km. On the highway it’s a little better - about 8-9 liters, but still not a “hybrid”.
- Multimedia - with character. The screen is large (15.6 inches), but many functions are hardwired into the menu. There are almost no physical buttons - you have to get used to touch controls.
- Ergonomics are not for everyone: the driver's seat cushion seems a bit short (it's uncomfortable for tall drivers), retractable door handles are nice, but not always convenient (especially in winter), some buttons are located in such a way that you have to take your attention from the road.
- The suspension is not for those who like softness. On small uneven surfaces you can feel every bump. If you are a fan of a smooth ride, like in a luxury sedan, you will have to be patient.
- The quality of materials is not for everyone. Faux leather looks expensive, but tactilely resembles suede. Not everyone likes this texture.
- The trunk is not ideal for camping. When the seats are folded, there is no flat surface - it’s uncomfortable to sleep.
Total: Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max is a “family fighter” with ambitions. It is not without its shortcomings, but it gives a lot for its money: power, comfort, and technology. An excellent option for those who value space, all-wheel drive and modern features.

P. S. Remember: every driver has his own whims. One sees the shortcomings, the other sees the advantages. Choose a car according to your rhythm of life, and not according to other people’s reviews. Have a nice trip!
