The JAC RF8 minivan was valued in Russia at 4.8 million rubles - cheaper than the analogue from Sollers

The JAC RF8 minivan went on sale in Russia at a price of 4.8 million rubles - cheaper than the analogue from Sollers (formerly Hyundai Staria).

A new player has appeared on the Russian market of premium minivans - JAC RF8, a representative of the Chinese automobile industry, which immediately identified itself as a serious competitor to already established models. The starting price of the new product is 4.8 million rubles, which makes it cheaper than the Russian-Korean Sollers B10 (formerly Hyundai Staria), offered from 5 million and above.

JAC RF8 is not just a “Chinese with big windows”, but a thoughtful, technologically advanced and comfortable MPV, created with an eye on the best examples of the segment. The car is built on an aluminum platform, equipped with a 2.0 liter petrol turbo engine with a power of 245 hp. paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Impressive dimensions - almost 5.2 meters in length and a wheelbase of 3.1 meters - provide a spacious three-row cabin with space for 7-8 passengers and a high level of comfort even in the rear rows.

JAC engineers paid special attention to the interior: heated and ventilated leather seats, a double panoramic roof, a digital instrument panel, a 12.3-inch multimedia screen, a premium audio system and climate control for all three zones. The on-board multimedia system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and voice control in Russian - an important detail for the Russian buyer.

Externally, the RF8 looks modern and discreet: smooth lines, narrow headlights, a minimalistic radiator grille and clear, characteristic seams on the body - all this gives it solidity without becoming pretentious. At the same time, JAC has not forgotten about practicality: sliding doors, a low loading threshold, a spacious trunk and a parking assistance system make everyday use truly convenient.

The price tag of 4.8 million rubles is not just a marketing move, but a strategic step. JAC directly challenges not only Sollers, but also players such as Maxus and GAC, offering comparable levels of equipment, but at a more affordable price. And most importantly, it demonstrates that Chinese minivans have long ceased to be a “budget alternative”, having turned into independent, mature products worthy of the attention of even the most demanding buyers.

JAC RF8 is not just a machine for family or business. This is a signal: Chinese brands have entered the Russian market seriously and for a long time - and are ready to fight not with price, but with value.
