New Jaecoo J5: all-wheel drive for 2 million rubles

In the first half of 2025, the new budget crossover Jaecoo J5 will enter the Russian market. This model will become the most affordable representative of the brand’s line with all-wheel drive, and its estimated price will be in the range of 2-3 million rubles.

Jaecoo J5 with dimensions 4380 × 1860 × 1650 mm and a ground clearance of 190 mm claims the niche occupied by Geely Coolray, Changan CS35 Plus and Chery Tiggo 4 PRO. It will be available in two modifications:

- 1.5-liter turbo engine (front-wheel drive, CVT 25);
- 1.6-liter turbocharged engine (all-wheel drive, 7-speed robot).

Most likely, the power of the versions in the Russian Federation will be 147 and 150 hp. Average fuel consumption is indicated as 7.2 liters per 100 km.

The crossover is equipped with an elegant interior with 35 storage compartments. The trunk holds 480 liters, and when the rear seats are folded, this figure increases to 1180 liters. It is possible to install a roof rack up to 75 kg, and the tow bar is designed for a trailer up to 1250 kg.
