Maextro is expanding its range: following the S800 sedan, the V800 is a large hybrid minivan with a luxurious interior and an impressive electric range.

Maextro expands its product range

The luxury brand Maextro, created in collaboration between JAC and Huawei, continues to form its own line of premium cars. After the debut of the S800 sedan, the manufacturer is preparing a second model - the large V800 minivan. The first technical characteristics of the new product have already been published by the Chinese Ministry of Industry, which indicates that the car will soon enter the market.

One of the largest minivans in the segment

Maextro V800 stands out due to its dimensions even compared to full-size competitors. The length of the car is 5495 mm, width - 2006 mm, height - 1850 mm, and the wheelbase reaches 3430 mm. These dimensions provide a spacious interior with a three-row layout designed for six or seven passengers, depending on the version.

The curb weight of the car varies from 3120 to 3190 kg, which is typical for large hybrid models with capacious batteries and rich equipment.

New generation hybrid powertrain

The Maextro V800 is based on a sequential hybrid system. The car is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 173 hp, which acts as a generator to recharge the battery.

Two electric motors are responsible for movement: front with a power of 218 hp, rear with a power of 313 hp.

Thus, the minivan receives all-wheel drive and a high total power potential. A traction battery with a capacity of 63.2 kWh provides up to 275 km of range exclusively on electric traction in the WLTC cycle, which makes the model especially attractive for urban and suburban use.

Design and options

Maextro V800 will offer customers several options for external design. In particular, there are five types of rims with 255/55 R19 tires. Depending on the configuration, the rear lights will also differ, which adds individuality to the different versions of the model.

The possibility of two-tone body painting deserves special attention - a characteristic element for premium cars, emphasizing the status of a new product.

Context: development of the Maextro brand

The appearance of the V800 occurs against the backdrop of an update to the brand's first model. In February, the modernized Maextro S800 sedan was presented, the hybrid version of which received a slight increase in power. This demonstrates the consistent development of the brand’s line and technological base.

Maextro is gradually shaping the image of a high-tech premium brand, combining JAC engineering solutions and Huawei digital technologies. The launch of the large V800 minivan expands the company's presence in the luxury family car segment and increases competition with other Chinese and international manufacturers.
