The Jeland line will expand to five models: it will include crossovers based on Jaecoo and Omoda with local assembly.
The Russian brand Jeland continues to actively develop its model range. According to the brand, in the near future the line will increase to at least five crossovers. In addition to the already presented Jeland J6, it will include models previously known under the Jaecoo and Omoda brands.
Thus, Jeland becomes one of the key projects for the localization of Chinese cars on the Russian market.
The Jeland line will be based on cars already known to Russian buyers. The J7 and J8 crossovers, previously associated with the Jaecoo brand, will appear under the new brand.
In addition, Omoda models, the C5 and C7 crossovers, will be renamed to Jeland. This will allow us to unite several popular models under a single brand and simplify their positioning on the market.
The first-born of the brand was the Jeland J6 crossover, sales of which started in June. The model is offered at prices ranging from 2.29 to 2.69 million rubles and is produced in Russia.
J6 is actually a localized version of the Chinese crossover, adapted to Russian conditions and customer requirements.
One of the key new products will be Jeland J7. Although the official premiere has not yet taken place, details of the configurations are already known.
The crossover will be available with two powertrain options:
- front-wheel drive and 150 hp engine;
- all-wheel drive and 186 hp engine
Both versions will receive a 7-speed robotic gearbox. Already in the basic configuration there are six airbags, LED optics, climate control, heating and modern equipment.
More expensive versions will offer an expanded set of assistants, all-round visibility, seat ventilation, acoustic glass and an improved multimedia system.
In addition to the five announced models, the Jeland line may expand even further. In particular, the possibility of the appearance of the C4 crossover, which has not previously entered the Russian market under the original brand, is being considered.
Registration of the corresponding names indirectly confirms such plans.
The development of the Jeland brand reflects the current trend towards the localization of Chinese cars in Russia. Uniting models of different brands under a single brand allows you to optimize production, logistics and marketing.
For buyers, this means a wider choice of models with a familiar technical base, but adapted to local conditions and offered at a competitive price.
