GM Power King kong prices and configurations are disclosed for the Russian market. This is the largest pickup truck in the Great Wall model line, and it will be possible to buy it from April 25 for at least 2,799,000 rubles.

Briefly about Great Wall Poer Kingkong

Recall that in China Poer King Kong (where it is customary to write this name in two words) it went on sale back in March 2022. This pickup truck is really the largest in the brand's model line. Moreover, a long-wheelbase version with dimensions of 5635 x 1880 x 1815 mm with an interstage distance of 3410 mm was brought to Russia. For comparison, it is 240 mm longer, 80 mm wider and 55 mm higher than the Wingle 7 that left the Russian market.

The Poer Kingkong cargo platform is also quite large – with dimensions of 1820 x 1500 x 495 mm. It is 140 mm longer, 40 mm wider and 15 mm higher than the mentioned Wingle 7. Apparently, the europalet will fit there without any problems. At the same time, the load capacity of Poer Kingkong is stated to be exactly the same as that of Wingle 7 – 975 kg.

The GWM Poer Kingkong is available with two engines. The first is a 2-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 150 hp and a torque of 400 Nm. This is the GW4D20M motor, familiar to us from the Great Wall Poer. In China, it is boosted to 163 hp. Its fuel consumption is 9.4 liters / 100 km. The second engine is a 2-liter gasoline GW4C20B with 190 hp and 360 Nm. This is a modification of the GW4C20 motor, which is found on the Haval F7, F7x, H9, GWM Poer pickup truck and so on. Both are aggregated by a 6-stage manual transmission. In China, we recall that King Kong has recently become available for purchase with a 6-band "automatic".

And the main feature of the pickup is a plug–in all-wheel drive with rear differential lock and downshift. Its clearance is a solid 200 mm. But at the same time, the angles of entry and exit at 25 and 20 degrees are not very impressive.

Prices and equipment of GWM Poer Kingkong

The basic version of the GWM Poer Kingkong is called Comfort and is equipped with power steering, 235/65 R17 wheels, a stabilization system, front airbags, a rear-view camera, heated front seats and a central screen with a diagonal of 10.25 inches. Its price is 2,799,000 rubles. Exactly the same amount was asked for the Great Wall Wingle 7 that left the market.

The second configuration of Poer Kingkong is known as Elite. It adds heated steering wheel, fog lights, all-round vision system, curtain airbags, climate control and so on. The price of this version is 2,999,000 rubles. Thus, it is 450 thousand rubles cheaper than the basic configuration

Compared to the "regular" Poer in the starter kit, the "King Kong" in the Elite version has a larger central screen, climate control and leather seats, as well as more airbags and cameras. At the same time, Poer offers more warm options and a keyless access system. And yet they are different pickups for different purposes. Therefore, they are unlikely to take away each other's customers.
