"Avtotor" on the threshold of launching production of Dongfeng crossovers

In Kaliningrad at the plant "Avtotor" will soon begin production of popular in China all-wheel drive crossovers brand Dongfeng.

This conclusion was reached by experts from the portal "Chinese cars", having analyzed the press photos published by the plant.

An interesting point is that in one of the photos, where the main emphasis was placed on the start of production of the BAIC X7 crossover, attentive journalists saw a batch of Dongfeng iX7 crossovers in the background.

Not so long ago, the Russian distributor of Dongfeng, the company "Motorinvest", announced the expansion of the range of models offered in Russia from three to eleven, among which the iX7 model was mentioned. However, neither Avtotor nor Motorinvest have made official announcements about the launch of assembly of this model in Kaliningrad.

As for the Dongfeng ix7 crossover, it is an impressive seven-seater car. Its dimensions are: length - 4930 mm, width - 1935 mm and height - 1765 mm with a wheelbase of 2810 mm. The car is powered by a 2-liter HD20 petrol turbo engine developing 231 hp and 355 Nm of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission is used to transmit power to the wheels.
