The week on the Russian car market was marked by two directly opposite news: the budget crossover Belgee X50 is preparing to return to dealers after the spring production stop, and the premium hybrid SUV Esteo V27 worth almost 6 million

The Belarusian-Chinese joint venture Belgee has confirmed that the compact crossover Belgee X50 (licensed version of the Geely Coolray SX11) will return to sale in Russia before the New Year, after its production was stopped in the spring of 2026.

The reason for the return is pragmatic: while the X50 was discontinued in the spring in favor of the updated version X50+, dealers began to complain about the shortage of available trim levels, and the demand for the budget segment did not disappear.

What is known at the moment:

• The returning X50 will be a “simplified and more affordable” version of the current best-selling X50+, rather than a replacement.

• The Belgee model line in Russia will expand to four models: the S50 sedan, the X70 crossover, as well as the X50+ and the updated X50.

• The previous X50 with a 3-cylinder engine was sold until June 2026, after which it was removed from sale.
