Changan and Huawei created the Deepal G318 SUV

The Chinese auto giant Changan presented the Deepal G318 hybrid SUV with a large power reserve and a set of modern technologies.

Deepal, Changan's sub-brand specializing in hybrid and electric vehicles, continues to expand its lineup. Founded in 2022, the brand already includes the L07 sedan and S07 crossover. Recently they were joined by a new SUV - G318, which is already available for purchase on the Chinese market.

Deepal G318 is a large car, its dimensions are 5010 mm in length, 1985 mm in width and 1895 mm in height. Taking into account the expeditionary trunk and the “chandelier” on the roof, the height increases to 1960 mm. The wheelbase is 2880 mm, which provides a spacious interior. The minimum ground clearance is 278 mm, which makes the car suitable for driving on rough terrain. All-wheel drive allows you to tow a trailer weighing up to 1600 kg.

The Deepal G318 cabin seats five people and is equipped with many modern features. The multimedia system includes two large screens: one 14.6 inches and the other 10.25 inches, which support voice control and many smart functions. On the central tunnel there is a massive transmission mode selector, in front of which there is a shelf with 50-watt wireless charging for a smartphone. A 360-degree view system with a see-through chassis feature is also available to enhance safety and ease of parking. The seats in the cabin can be folded to form an almost flat floor, allowing the luggage compartment volume to be increased from 818 liters to an impressive 1,747 liters. Inside there are 31 places to store various things, which adds convenience on long trips.

Under the hood of the Deepal G318 lies a hybrid power plant consisting of a 1.5-liter engine and electric motors. Depending on the modification, the total power can reach 424 hp, and the maximum torque can be 572 Nm. The top version with all-wheel drive accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds. The hybrid system allows you to travel up to 1000 km without refueling, thanks to a battery with a capacity of 35.07 kWh.

The car is equipped with the latest lithium iron phosphate batteries Golden Bell Battery 2.0, which ensures long service life and reliability. Drivers are offered 16 driving modes, including 5 off-road modes, making the Deepal G318 a versatile vehicle. The car's suspension is completely independent and pneumatic: the front is on double wishbones, the rear is multi-link.

The new Changan Deepal G318 has already gone on sale in China and is available for order starting at 175,900 yuan.
