Chery and Huawei showed a crossover in the style of Ferrari Purosangue

Luxeed introduced the RX electric crossover with a design in the spirit of the Ferrari Purosangue and Huawei technologies.

New Luxeed flagship

The joint brand of Chery and Huawei - Luxeed - presented a new electric crossover RX. This is the first model of the brand to receive a letter name instead of the usual indices, which emphasizes a new stage in the development of the line.

The crossover will become one of the brand’s key products and will be offered in two versions with different power levels.

Design with an eye to supercars

The Luxeed RX features styling that clearly references the Ferrari Purosangue and modern Chinese electric cars such as the Xiaomi YU7. The crossover received a sweeping silhouette with a sloping roofline, expressive wings and dynamic proportions.

With a length of 5020 mm and a wheelbase of 3000 mm, the model belongs to the full-size segment. The production technology of body elements deserves special attention: some parts are made by injection molding using electromagnetic thermal control, which increases strength and reduces weight.

Electric platform and power

Luxeed RX will be available in two versions. The basic modification is equipped with one electric motor on the rear axle with a power of 377 hp. and weighing about 2250 kg.

The all-wheel drive version is complemented by a second electric motor on the front axle producing 217 hp, bringing the total output to more than 590 hp. The weight of such a crossover reaches 2400 kg.

Battery capacity and range have not yet been disclosed, but it is expected that the model will meet modern standards for long-range electric vehicles.

Huawei Technologies

One of the key features of the RX will be the use of the latest Huawei technologies. The crossover will receive an 896-line lidar and Huawei Qiankun ADS autonomous driving complex.

These solutions provide a high level of automation and safety, allowing the vehicle to confidently navigate difficult road conditions.

Place in the lineup

Luxeed RX complements the brand's existing lineup, which already includes the S7 sedan, R7 crossover and V9 minivan. At the same time, the RX is aimed at a more premium segment and should attract buyers with a combination of design, power and technology.

Previously, the R7 crossover has already attracted attention thanks to its record aerodynamics, and the new model continues the development of this technological direction.

Prospects of the model

The sales start date and price of the Luxeed RX have not yet been announced, but it is already clear that the model will become one of the most prominent representatives of the electric crossover segment.

The combination of expressive design, powerful powertrain and advanced Huawei technologies allows the Luxeed RX to claim the role of a serious competitor to both Chinese and international models in the premium class.
