Where and when SWM cars will be sold in Russia.

Sales of SWM brand cars in Russia will begin in all major cities of Russia from the end of May. At the first stage, three models will be available to customers.

SWM car sales in Russia: what is known
The distributor of the SWM brand in Russia was the Obukhov group of companies. It will ensure the supply of new cars, the organization of their maintenance and warranty support.

Dealer agreements have already been concluded in all major cities of Russia. At the moment, more than 40 such agreements have been signed. By the end of 2023, the distributor plans to expand the dealer network to 50 partners throughout the country.

The first SWM cars will go on sale in late May – early June of this year. The model line of the brand in Russia at the first stage consists of three crossovers

Production and prospects of the brand
Recall that the production of SWM cars in Russia started last week. The assembly is organized at the facilities of the Kaliningrad plant "Avtotor". So far, it is conducted by the large-node method. However, in the future, a phased transition to full-cycle production (welding, painting and assembly) is envisaged.

Local assembly will ensure the approved planned delivery of commercial vehicles to the dealer network and will help to establish competitive prices for products. It should be noted that Avtotor and the Chinese company Shineray, which owns the SWM brand, intend to develop a production development plan immediately until 2032.

Which SWM cars will appear in Russia
SWM G01 is the most affordable model in the Russian brand line. This is a mid-size crossover introduced in China back in 2018. Its dimensions: 4610 x 1855 x 1740 mm. The wheelbase is 2750 mm. That is, the G01 is similar in size to the Haval F7 and Changan CS75 FL.

In the Chinese market, the crossover is presented with a 1.5 turbo engine (156 hp and 212 Nm). It is paired with a 6-speed "mechanics" or a 7-band "robot" with two clutches. The drive is exclusively front-wheel drive.

The SWM G01F crossover is a contested version of the G01 model. It has a more aggressive design, due to other bumpers, the body length has increased to 4670 mm. Technically, the G01 and G01F models are identical.

The third model is a seven—seat crossover G05 Pro. The wheelbase does not differ from the younger models (2750 mm), and the length is 4750 mm. That is, the size of the car is close to such models as the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro and Geely Monjaro.

In the Chinese market, the G05 Pro is offered with two engines to choose from. The 2-liter "atmospheric engine" (143 hp and 190 Nm) is paired with a 5-speed "mechanics", the 1.5 turbo engine (156 hp and 212 Nm) is combined only with a "robot" for 7 gears. The drive is in any case front.
