Geely is preparing to launch the Atlas Cool crossover on the Russian market

The new Geely Atlas Cool will soon appear in Russia, which has already been spotted at dealerships in Moscow. It is expected that the car will be presented under a new name and will occupy an intermediate position between the Coolray and Atlas Pro.

The Russian market is preparing to receive the new Geely Atlas Cool crossover, which will soon go on sale. Although official deliveries have not yet begun, the model has already been spotted at dealerships in Moscow, which indicates an imminent start of sales. This version, known in China as Boyue Cool, will become a serious competitor to other popular models of the brand, such as Coolray and Atlas Pro.

Geely Atlas Cool is an intermediate model in the company’s lineup, located between the compact Coolray and the larger Atlas Pro. Its dimensions are 4510 mm in length, 1865 mm in width and 1650 mm in height, and the wheelbase is 2701 mm. This makes it slightly more compact than the Atlas Pro, which adds to the crossover's agility in urban environments while maintaining a spacious cabin for passengers.

Apparently, Geely Atlas Cool will be renamed for the Russian market. The most likely name is “Starray”, which was registered by Geely earlier. This name may suit a new car, especially considering its modern and expressive design, which can attract the attention of Russian car enthusiasts.

In terms of appearance, the new Atlas Cool retains the characteristic features of Geely models: a massive radiator grille, T-shaped headlights and impressive air intakes. The crossover looks aggressive and stylish, especially in the maximum configuration with 19-inch five-spoke wheels.

Technically, the Geely Atlas Cool is equipped with a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is already used in other models of the brand, such as the Geely Coolray. The engine develops power of 181 hp. and is paired with a 7-speed robotic gearbox. The car will have exclusively front-wheel drive, which also reduces its cost and makes it easier to drive in city conditions.

Today, the cost of Geely Atlas Cool in China varies from 92.8 to 118.8 thousand yuan, which is approximately 1.17 to 1.5 million rubles. In Russia, it is expected that the car will occupy a niche between the budget Coolray and the more expensive Atlas Pro, offering optimal value for money.

The official price for the Russian market has not yet been announced, but we can expect that Geely will try to maintain a competitive price, especially given the growing popularity of Chinese cars among Russian buyers.
