Geely Monjaro has risen in price in Russia with a new basic configuration

The flagship crossover Geely Monjaro has risen in price in Russia: the updated basic “Lux” package has received some of the options from the top version, and the minimum price has increased to 4,599,990 rubles, while the technical components have remained the same.

New “base”: 50 thousand more expensive, but more generous in options

The company Geely announced the start of sales of the crossover Monjaro in the updated basic configuration Luxury, which in press materials is called optimized'. Formally, the name remained the same, but the range of equipment has expanded noticeably, and this is reflected in prices.

Now the most affordable Geely Monjaro “Lux” is estimated at 4,599,990 rubles, while at the beginning of March 2026 the basic crossover cost about 50,000 rubles cheaper. In fact, the manufacturer slightly raised the entrance fee, but made the starting package closer to the previous “tops”, which meets the general trend of Chinese brands towards a“rich base”.

Technology like the flagship: 2.0 T, 238 hp. and four-wheel drive

Key point: even the updated “Lux” received the same power plant as the top version of the Flagman. We are talking about a 2.0-liter turbo-four with a power of 238 hp and a torque of 350 Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

According to the passport, the Geely Monjaro with this unit accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds with an average fuel consumption of 8.5 l/100 km in the combined cycle, which looks very competitive for a large crossover with all-wheel drive. Thus, even the basic version remains a full-fledged flagship in terms of technology, and the differences between the trim levels are shifted towards comfort and digital options.

What was added to the “Lux”: massage, second screen and new 19‑inch wheels

Changes in the set of options for the Luxury package were announced in advance: some of the equipment previously available only in the most expensive version has now moved to the base. The list of key innovations includes:

- Massage function for the driver's seat.
- Electrically adjustable front passenger seat.
- Additional 12.3-inch media system display (a common “panel of three screens”).
- Another mode of operation of the ride electronics, expanding the choice of driving settings.
- 19‑inch wheels of a new designincreasing the visual effect of the crossover.

The base also includes three-zone climate control, leather and suede in the interior trim, heated all seats and steering wheel, all-round cameras and adaptive cruise control - a set that until recently was the prerogative of only the upper trim levels.

Monjaro and Preface: how Geely builds a price ladder

In parallel with the update of the Monjaro, the Geely brand announced the start of sales of the modernized Preface sedan with a turbo engine derated to 150 hp, which allowed to reduce the entry price of the model. In the new configuration, the Preface “Lux” costs 3,329,990 rubles, and the “Flagship” costs 3,429,990 rubles, that is, noticeably cheaper than a crossover.

Against this background, the updated Geely Monjaro “Lux” for 4,599,990 rubles looks like a logical step up in the hierarchy: this is no longer just another Chinese crossover, but a flagship all-wheel drive SUV with rich options and a level of comfort approaching premium brands. Yes, the base price has increased by 50 thousand, but in return the client receives virtually a “semi-top” from the previous line - and this is a typical strategy of Chinese brands in the Russian market in 2026.
