GWM will equip the Tank 300 SUV with a powerful V6 engine

The Chinese concern GWM is preparing a new special version of the Tank 300 SUV – it will receive a V6 engine from the more expensive flagship Tank 500.

The car will be made on the basis of another limited series – Border Limited Edition. It was specially created to overcome the harsh off-road conditions. Therefore, its equipment includes reinforced bumpers, a different radiator grille, wheel arch extenders, off-road wheels, a snorkel and a roof trunk.

All this list of options will appear in the new special version, called Tank 300 3.0T. The only difference from the Border Limited Edition, apparently, will be the GW6Z30 engine. It has 6-cylinders, a volume of 3 liters, dual turbocharging and a recoil of 360 hp and 500 Nm of torque, which will significantly increase off-road capabilities.

In total, it is planned to release a thousand copies of the Tank 300 3.0T. Each will cost around 350 thousand yuan (3.9 million rubles), which is 48 thousand yuan more than they ask for the most expensive version of the standard Tank 300.

Recall that the Tank 300 is already on sale in Russia – with a 2-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 220 hp and 380 Nm of torque. Prices for the model start from 3,699,000 rubles.

Recall that marketers divide the Tank line into two families – "Mechanical beasts" (Tank 300, 400 and 700) and "Luxury flagships" (Tank 500 and 800). The first ones are designed for serious off—road driving, and the second ones are designed for maximum comfort. So far, the brand's line consists of Tank 300 and Tank 500, but soon it should be replenished by Tank 700, the prototype of the SUV has already been noticed in China.
