Geely has introduced the first-born of a new sub-brand.

The Chinese concern Geely showed a new electric car Maple Caocao 60. This is the serial version of the Clubvan Concept L, presented in the summer of 2022.

Maple Caocao 60 received a fairly simple, if not poor, exterior. The body is practically devoid of any decorative details and only the rear optics with a stylish green stripe dilutes this composition.

The interior, in fact, has become a reflection of the body. Here, too, everything is minimalistic and simple. There are practically no physical buttons on the front panel and most functions can be controlled from the central touch screen. Attention is drawn to the virtual dashboard, which has extremely small dimensions.

According to information from the Ministry of Industry, the "electric train" will have dimensions of 4640 x 1870 x 1600 mm with a wheelbase of 2760 mm. This means that in size it is close to the 4th generation Kia Cerato. Interestingly, in the catalog of the Chinese department, two names were assigned to the model — Livan Youxing 6 / Maple 01. And none of them came in handy in the end.
The power plant consists of one electric motor with a capacity of 163 hp, which is mounted on the front axle. The power reserve on one charge is 415 km. The curb weight of the car is 1,625 kg. The price in China varies from 119 800 to 139 800 yuan (1.3-1.56 million rubles).

Interestingly, the new sub-brand is not named after cocoa, as it may seem at first glance. Caocao refers to the Chinese commander Cao Cao, who was the ruler of the Han Empire at the beginning of the III century AD. In the structure of the Geely concern, this brand will be part of a joint venture with Lifan called Ruilan Automobile (it also includes the Livan brand).

Geely Maple Caocao 60 is the first "branded" car of the Caocao Mobility division. It has long been engaged in transport services using Geometry A and Maple 80V cars on new energy. We are talking, in particular, about a taxi with its own fleet, auto concierge, car rental and other services. Currently, the Caocao service is available in more than 62 cities, including Hangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
