The Tenet T4L crossover began to be assembled in Kaluga in full cycle

Production of the Tenet T4L crossover has started in Kaluga: increased dimensions, adaptation to Russian conditions and local assembly on a full cycle.

Localization of production in Russia

AGR Holding announced the launch of a full production cycle of the new Tenet T4L crossover at its site in Kaluga. This is an important step in the development of the brand on the Russian market, since we are talking not just about large-scale assembly, but about full localization, including key production processes.

It is separately emphasized that the model was initially designed taking into account the specific operating conditions in Russia - from climatic conditions to the quality of the road surface.

Increased size and practicality

Tenet T4L became a development of the already well-known T4 crossover, having received increased dimensions. The wheelbase has increased by 40 mm, and the overall length has increased by 186 mm, which has improved the spaciousness in the cabin and increased the usable volume.

The trunk of the new product varies from 475 to 1500 liters depending on the configuration, which makes the model more versatile for everyday use and long trips. The appearance shows a combination of elements of the base T4 and design solutions characteristic of the Chery Tiggo 7 family, although the origin of the model is not officially disclosed.

Adaptation to Russian conditions

One of the key advantages of Tenet T4L is its deep adaptation to local operating conditions. The manufacturer paid special attention to protecting the body: the bottom and hidden cavities are treated with wax, and additional anti-corrosion coatings are applied, including anti-gravel and soundproofing protection.

The equipment includes an extended “winter package”, which includes heating of all seats, steering wheel, windshield and windshield washer nozzles. Also provided are remote engine start and a pre-heating system for the interior, which is especially important for cold climates.

Technique and equipment

Tenet T4L is equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 147 hp, paired with a robotic gearbox. This configuration is aimed at a balance between efficiency and sufficient dynamics for city and country trips.

In parallel with the launch of the model in Kaluga, the component base is also being developed: earlier, the AGR holding opened the production of engines, the line of which, in addition to the current unit, will include engines with a volume of up to 2.0 liters and a power of up to 249 hp.

Prospects of the model

At the moment, the start of sales and the price of Tenet T4L have not been announced. As a guide, you can take into account the price of the base T4, which starts from 2,169,000 rubles for cars produced in 2026.

The launch of local production and adaptation to Russian conditions make the T4L one of the potentially popular offerings in the segment of compact and mid-size crossovers. The model is designed to strengthen the position of Chinese brands in Russia, offering a combination of practicality, technology and taking into account the regional specifics of operation.
