Land Rover from China? Rox Motors is preparing a surprise

The SUV from the Chinese Rox Motors combines a brutal Defender-style appearance, Italian elegance and modern hybrid technology.

The Russian automobile market will soon be replenished with a new brand - Rox Motors. This Chinese manufacturer, formerly known as Jishi, is preparing to officially present its first car in Russia - the hybrid SUV Rox 01, which has already attracted the attention of fans of off-road models.

At first glance, the Rox 01 resembles a Land Rover Defender, which makes it stand out among its peers. The famous Italian studio Pininfarina worked on the design of the car, which added premium charm to the model. However, Rox 01 is not just a beautiful SUV, but a modern hybrid car with high technical characteristics.

Main parameters of the car:

- Dimensions: 5295 × 1980 × 1869 mm, wheelbase – 3010 mm.
- Engine: hybrid installation with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine (154 hp), which serves as a generator, and two electric motors with a total power of 476 hp.
- Cruising range: 235 km in electric mode and up to 1338 km in hybrid mode.
- Acceleration: up to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.
- Battery: capacity 56.01 kWh.
- Suspension: independent, with adaptive shock absorbers; ground clearance – 205 mm.

The SUV is available in two interior layout options:

- Business Lounge Edition (2+2+2) – a comfortable lounge with separate second-row seats, massage and ventilation functions.
- Family Edition (2+2+3) – seven-seater option with the ability to transform into a flat floor to create a “king bed”.

So far, the first copies of Rox 01 were imported into the country through parallel imports and were sold for 6.35–6.5 million rubles. With the release of the official distributor, the KaiHe company, the price of the car will increase to 7 million rubles, but buyers will receive a fully Russified version with support for service.

Rox Motors is currently actively certifying the model for the Russian market and plans to complete this process by the end of 2024. Already, the SUV is sold at an average of 60 units per month.

Oting, which has become a multi-brand company, will sell Rox Motors cars. The plans include expanding the Rox Motors model range in order to take strong positions in different segments of the Russian car market.
