New Omoda C5 for Russia: first photos, specifications and release dates

The restyled Omoda C5 will arrive in Russia in July 2025 at a price starting from 2.1 million rubles. The model received an updated design with LED optics and a light strip, a 15.6-inch screen, improved noise insulation and a modified suspension.

The Chinese hatchback crossover Omoda C5, already loved by Russian buyers for its futuristic design and rich equipment, is preparing for an update. In 2025, a restyled version of the model will enter the Russian market, and the first official photos, as well as technical details, have already become available.

Externally, the new product has received a more aggressive and sculptural appearance: narrow LED headlights are now connected by a light strip, the radiator grille has become more voluminous, and the rear bumper has become more massive, with integrated diffusers and hidden exhaust pipes. The wheel arches are widened, and 19-inch wheels will appear in top trim levels - all this gives the C5 even more sporty charm.

There are no changes under the hood: as before, the Russian version will be equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a power of 147 hp and a torque of 230 Nm, paired with a variator (CVT) and front-wheel drive. However, engineers have improved the suspension settings - it has become a little stiffer, which has improved handling without losing comfort on uneven surfaces. Sound insulation has also been enhanced, especially in the area of the wheel arches and engine compartment.

The interior is an evolution, not a revolution: the signature “space” palette with blue backlight is retained, but the central display now has a diagonal of 15.6 inches (versus 14.6 previously), and the climate control system has received touch buttons with tactile feedback. Support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto has appeared, and the voice assistant now understands commands in Russian without connecting to a smartphone.

Safety is also enhanced: in addition to six airbags and ESP, all versions now include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind spot monitoring and lane keeping assist.

Delivery of the new Omoda C5 to Russia will begin in July 2025. The starting price, according to preliminary data, will be from 2.1 million rubles - at the level of the current model, despite the expanded equipment.

Thus, the Omoda C5 is not just being updated - it is strengthening its position as one of the most stylish and technologically advanced Chinese cars in the segment. And if earlier he was chosen for his appearance, now - also for his maturity, thoughtfulness and attention to detail.
