Haval announced prices and details of the updated Dargo for Russia - the crossover received a more powerful engine, new design and advanced technologies.

Haval Dargo update: focus on power and equipment

The Haval company has revealed details of the updated Dargo crossover for the Russian market, while simultaneously announcing prices for the model. The car has noticeably evolved: it received a more powerful engine, improved design and an expanded set of technologies, but at the same time lost the basic front-wheel drive version.

The cost of the new item varies from 3,499,000 to 3,899,000 rubles. Due to the refusal of the initial configuration, the starting price increased by approximately 300 thousand rubles, which reflects the general transition of the model to a more equipped segment.

More powerful engine and improved dynamics

The main technical change was the increase in efficiency of the two-liter turbo engine. The engine now develops 200 hp. and 380 Nm instead of the previous 192 hp. and 320 Nm.

Acceleration to 100 km/h takes about 9 seconds, and fuel consumption in the combined cycle is reduced to 8.8 liters per 100 kilometers - this is 0.4 liters less than the previous all-wheel drive version. Thus, the update affected not only dynamics, but also efficiency.

The crossover is equipped with a non-alternative seven-speed “robot” and an all-wheel drive system with an electro-hydraulic clutch. There are also eight driving modes, including five off-road, which emphasizes the off-road nature of the model.

Changes in appearance

The updated Dargo has received a number of noticeable design improvements. At the front there is a new radiator grille, and at the stern there is an LED strip that combines the rear lights.

In the top-end configuration, the crossover is equipped with 19-inch wheels, which enhances its visual massiveness and emphasizes its off-road style.

Interior and technology

In the cabin, changes are aimed at increasing convenience and digitalization. The steering wheel received a thicker rim, and the transmission selector was moved to the steering column, freeing up space on the center console.

Additional USB ports have appeared with increased charging power up to 50 W. The central place in the interior is occupied by an updated media system with a 14.6-inch screen instead of the previous 12.3 inches. It received a redesigned interface, support for custom widgets and access to Yandex and VK services.

The function of remote voice control via the telematics system and Yandex devices has also been introduced, which makes interaction with the car more flexible and modern.

Time to market

Sales of the updated Haval Dargo in Russia will start in the second quarter of 2026. The model will become part of the brand's updated line, which already includes the modernized Haval M6 - a more affordable crossover with less radical changes.

In general, the Dargo update demonstrates a typical approach for Chinese automakers: regular modernization of models with an emphasis on technology, equipment and adaptation to the needs of specific markets.
