The updated Haval F7 goes on sale: it has become more powerful and more expensive

The Haval F7 was updated in Russia: the crossover received more powerful engines, a modified interior and expanded equipment, but the price increased by 100 thousand rubles.

Updating a popular model

The Haval F7 crossover has received a planned update and is already on sale at Haval City dealerships. The model is offered at prices ranging from 2,999,000 to 3,799,000 rubles, which is approximately 100 thousand rubles more expensive than the pre-reform version.

The update affected both the technical part and the equipment, making the car more modern and dynamic.

Motors and dynamics

One of the key changes was the increase in engine power. There are still two options in the line:
- 1.5-liter turbo engine with 150 hp. for front-wheel drive versions;
- 2.0-liter engine for all-wheel drive versions, now developing 200 hp. instead of the previous 192.

The torque of the younger unit increased from 230 to 270 Nm, due to which acceleration to 100 km/h was reduced from 10.4 to 9.3 seconds. The more powerful version also became faster: 8.7 seconds to “hundreds” versus the previous 9.4.

Both engines now comply with the Euro-6 environmental standard and are paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Equipment and comfort

The interior has seen noticeable improvements aimed at improving the comfort of the driver and passengers. The crossover received a new steering wheel with a thicker rim and a redesigned center console with a separate electronic parking brake button.

Technological innovations include 50 W wireless charging with active cooling function, as well as an expanded set of connectors, including USB Type-C.

In the more expensive Premium and Techno+ trim levels, the front seats are equipped with eight-way electrical adjustment, which increases the level of comfort on long trips.

Updated multimedia

The multimedia system has also been modernized. It has added the “Smart Widget” application, which allows you to customize the interface to suit the user’s preferences and flexibly control the display of information on the screen.

In addition, the screen can now be divided into several zones, and in addition to Yandex Auto services, access to the VK Video platform has appeared, expanding entertainment options on the road.

Production and brand strategy

The updated Haval F7 is produced in Russia at a plant in the Tula region in a full cycle, which plays an important role in ensuring stable supplies and adapting the model to local conditions.

The F7 modernization is part of a large-scale update of the Haval model range on the Russian market. Previously, similar changes have already been made to such models as Jolion, F7x, M6, H7 and H9.

Thus, the updated F7 continues to strengthen the brand’s position in the mid-size crossover segment, offering customers improved dynamics, modern equipment and local production.
