Oting announced the Palasso hardtop pickup truck in Russia

The Chinese brand Oting announced its new model in Russia - the Palasso hardtop pickup truck. Sales will start in the first quarter of next year.

The Chinese brand Oting, which has already established itself in the Russian market thanks to the popular Paladin SUV, has announced its second model - the Palasso hardtop pickup truck. This car will be a unique offer on the Russian market, as it will be the first pickup truck with a factory hardtop body.

A hardtop pickup is an improved version of a standard pickup truck, in which the cargo compartment is covered with a hardtop. This design not only protects the cargo from weather conditions, but also improves safety. In addition, the hardtop allows you to increase usable space, since the rear row of seats can be folded to increase cargo volumes.

The Oting Palasso is impressive with its dimensions: the length of the car is 5277 mm, the width is 1864 mm, and the height is 1989 mm. Thanks to a wheelbase of 3150 mm, the pickup truck has impressive stability and maneuverability on any road surface. The internal luggage compartment volume is 2150 liters, making the Palasso attractive to those who need large cargo space.

Previously, there were rumors that the Palasso model would be created on the basis of the famous Chinese pickup truck Dongfeng Rich 7. Presumably, the car will receive a 2-liter turbo engine producing 218 hp. paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. It is possible that the car will arrive in Russia with all-wheel drive.

However, the final technical characteristics with which the Palasso will enter the Russian market remain unknown.

Oting plans to start sales of the new Palasso pickup truck in Russia in the first quarter of next year. Given the growing interest in the pickup truck segment, especially with improved characteristics and capabilities like hardtops, the Palasso model has every chance to occupy its niche in the Russian market.
