The first photos of the flagship electric minivan from the Chinese brand Leapmotor have appeared. The model with a length of over 5.2 m will receive up to 500 hp, a power reserve of up to 650 km, 800-volt charging and a premium interior with individual screens and massage chairs.
The Chinese electric vehicle brand Leapmotor, known for its compact and technologically advanced EVs, has taken a decisive step into a new segment - the first official photos of its flagship minivan have appeared on the Internet, which does not yet have an approved name, but is already arousing great interest as a potential competitor to the Zeekr 009 and Maxus MIFA 9.
The new product is made in the brand’s signature minimalist style: smooth body lines, a completely closed radiator grille, narrow LED headlights and electric sliding doors. The dimensions are impressive - the length exceeds 5.2 meters, the wheelbase is about 3.2 meters, which promises a spacious three-row interior with the ability to accommodate up to 7-8 passengers. Particularly striking is the full-length panoramic roof, which creates an airy feeling even in the rear rows.
LEAP 3.0 platform, supporting both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. It is expected that the top version will receive two electric motors with a total power of 400–500 hp, and a battery with a capacity of up to 100 kWh will provide a range of up to 650 km on the CLTC cycle. An 800-volt architecture is also announced, allowing the battery to be charged from 10 to 80% in 20 minutes.
In the cabin there is a real “smart home on wheels”: separate screens for each second-row passenger, folding tables, massage chairs, a premium audio system and a climate control system with individual zones. The central place is occupied by a 16-inch rotating display that combines multimedia, navigation and vehicle control. The Leapmotor OS software platform supports voice control, OTA updates and integration with the smart device ecosystem.
Although the exact release dates and prices have not yet been announced, experts suggest that the minivan will go on sale in China at the end of 2025, and export deliveries - including a possible entry into the Russian market - will begin in 2026. Estimated cost - from 400,000 yuan (~4.8 million rubles).
The introduction of this minivan marks an important stage in the evolution of Leapmotor: the brand is no longer limited to niche models, but is entering the premium commercial segment, where comfort, technology and electric range are combined. And if the build quality matches its ambitions, the new minivan could become one of the most desirable electric MPVs in Asia and beyond.
