The Hyptec A800 executive sedan, developed by GAC and Huawei, is available for pre-order

The executive electric sedan Hyptec A800, created by GAC and Huawei, has gone up for pre-order in China at a price starting from 4.2 million rubles.

The Chinese auto industry once again demonstrates that the boundaries between a car, a smartphone and artificial intelligence are blurring faster than we can get used to them. GAC Group, together with tech giant Huawei, has officially opened pre-orders for the flagship Hyptec A800 electric sedan, a car that is positioned as the “new standard of luxury” in the era of software-defined cars.

Hyptec A800 is not just a development of the Hyptec (formerly Gonow) line, but a technological breakthrough. Under its elegant, aerodynamic body (drag coefficient of just 0.195 Cd) hides an 800-volt architecture, two electric motors with a total power of 640 hp. and a 100 kWh battery that provides a range of up to 730 km on the CLTC cycle. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes just 3.5 seconds, and thanks to the Huawei SuperCharge ultra-fast charging system, the car replenishes 300 km of range in 5 minutes.

But the main highlight is in the interior. Here Huawei has implemented its Harmony Cockpit platform: three screens, including the digital instrument panel, center console and passenger screen, are combined into a single space with the Xiaoyi voice assistant, which recognizes natural speech in several languages. The system supports holographic projections, 4K video conferencing, integration with a smart home, and even neural network adaptation to driver behavior. Massage seats, four-zone climate control, a premium Huawei Sound system and recycled materials accentuate the model's status.

Particular attention is paid to the autopilot: Huawei ADS 3.0 with LiDAR, radars and cameras provides L3 level autonomous driving - including complex maneuvers in city crowds, automatic parking and traffic controller gesture recognition.

Pre-orders for the Hyptec A800 started in China at a price of 350,000 yuan (about 4.2 million rubles at the current exchange rate). Deliveries will begin in the first quarter of 2026, and exports, including possible entry into the Russian market, are planned for the second half of the year.

Hyptec A800 is not just an electric car. This is a joint creation of the auto industry and the digital industry, where GAC is responsible for the hardware and Huawei for the brains. And if previously executive sedans were associated with the Germans or Japanese, now China offers not an alternative, but a new paradigm: the car as an intelligent, self-learning and truly personalized companion.
