The Russian market says goodbye to FAW Bestune T99

FAW announced the completion of sales of its flagship crossover Bestune T99 in Russia. An updated version is expected to launch in 2025.

The Chinese company FAW announced the completion of sales of its flagship crossover Bestune T99 on the Russian market. This step is associated with preparations for the release of an updated version of the model, which should appear in Russia in 2025.

FAW Bestune T99, which debuted in Russia in May 2023, could not last two years on the market. During this time, several hundred cars were sold, but in 2024 sales dropped sharply. If about 700 cars were sold in the second half of 2023, then in the first half of 2024 - only 205, and in June - 16.

The crossover was offered in Russia in two rich trim levels with a two-liter turbo engine producing 218 hp, a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The price for the model ranged from 3,070,000 to 3,163,000 rubles.

Despite the cessation of supplies, Russian dealers continue to sell off residual cars. However, farewell to Bestune T99 is temporary. In 2025, it is planned to launch an updated version of the model, which will receive not only an updated appearance, but also modernized technical characteristics.

In addition, the updated Bestune B70 liftback is expected to be released in 2025, which will feature an improved multimedia system and an expanded range of electronic assistants.
