Royal Edition premiere in Beijing

At the Beijing Motor Show, a special version of the Rox Adamas SUV called Royal Edition debuted, which the brand itself calls international and focused on export markets. Rox emphasizes that the key recipients of the new product are the countries of the Middle East and Russia, where the brand is already entering the market and preparing local production.

The special version is dedicated to the royal family of the UAE, one of the main investors of the Rox brand, and is designed to emphasize the “Arab” roots and premium positioning of Adamas in the luxury hybrid SUV segment.

Design for Arab Sheikhs

Externally, the Rox Adamas Royal Edition is easily recognizable by the original design of the body and wheels. The SUV received exclusive 21-inch wheels of a special design and a contrasting two-tone color: a matte gold bottom is combined with a pearlescent white top, symbolizing the desert sands and clouds.

The body is additionally decorated with black diamond-shaped patterns, stylized as traditional Arab clothing, which makes the model's image a reference to the culture of the Persian Gulf countries. Embossed door cards with diamond stitching continue the theme and visually bring the Royal Edition closer to the products of luxury European brands.

Interior with gold embroidery and an emphasis on comfort

In the cabin, the diamond motif only intensifies. The ornament is embroidered with gold thread on the front panel, and the chairs are upholstered in perforated leather with a characteristic diamond-shaped stitching. The design emphasizes the status of the model as a “royal” version, designed primarily for those who often ride in the back and expect from the car not only power, but also show effect.

Thoughtful and functional premium: among the details is a niche for wireless charging, made in the same style and designed for several devices, plus an expanded range of comfort and decor compared to the serial Adamas.

Prospects for Royal Edition in Russia

Initially, the Rox Adamas Royal Edition was conceived as an exclusive for the Middle East, but after the successful launch of the brand in the UAE and plans to localize the model range in Russia, the company decided to expand the geography of the special version. Rox officially announced that they are considering the possibility of launching the production of the Royal Edition at Avtotor in Kaliningrad after the launch of mass production of Rox 01 and Adamas.

According to the brand’s agreements with Avtotor, the assembly of Rox models in Kaliningrad will start in the spring and summer of 2026: first the Rox 01 crossover will hit the assembly line, then the Adamas will join it, and after assessing demand, the Royal Edition may appear. Thus, the “Arabic” special version is gradually turning from an export project into a candidate for Russian localization.

What is Rox Adamas for Russia

The basic Rox Adamas is already presented on the Russian market and belongs to the segment of large premium SUVs with a sequential hybrid power plant. The model is equipped with two electric motors (one on each axle) with a total power of about 476 hp. and 740 Nm, which provide all-wheel drive and acceleration to 100 km/h in approximately 5.5 seconds.

A traction battery with a capacity of 56 kWh allows you to travel up to 200–235 kilometers in pure electric mode, and the total range on the WLTC cycle reaches approximately 1,226 kilometers thanks to a gasoline engine-generator and a 70-liter fuel tank. For the Russian version of Adamas, options with a six- and seven-seat interior have already been announced, which makes it a direct competitor not only to Chinese, but also to European and Japanese full-size SUVs.

Against this background, the appearance of the Royal Edition looks like a logical step: a model with already rich basic characteristics receives a bright “Arabic” image package, and if the localization project for the special version at Avtotor is brought to production, Russian buyers will be offered one of the most unusually designed Chinese SUVs on the market.
