The timer is running. The Omoda S5 sedan will be presented in Russia next week

The Russian premiere of the Ohmeda S5 sedan is scheduled to take place next week. Information about this appeared on the official website and in social networks of the brand.

The place and time of the presentation were chosen unusual. A countdown timer has been started on the official Omoda website. Judging by it, the sedan should be presented on Tuesday, and at midnight. And the presentation itself will take place in the so-called multiverse O-Universe. This is a separate website where you can choose a character and walk around the virtual showroom Omoda. Already today, it is proposed to study the C5 crossovers in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions, and the S5 sedan is still hidden under a blanket.

Earlier, the company's press service informed Chinese Cars that the model will appear in Russia in late April or early May. At the same time, the novelty is obviously ready for the presentation

Omoda sedan: what is already known
A lot is known about the car itself at the moment. At the start of sales in Russia, the Omoda S5 – essentially a redesigned Arrizo 5 Plus / 6 Pro sedan – will be equipped with a 1.5 L gasoline engine with 113 hp and 138 Nm of torque. Paired with it is exclusively a variator. The suspension design is typical for cars of this class: front independent type MacPherson, rear — semi-independent spring.

So far, prices remain the main mystery. In China, the related Chery Arrizo 5 Plus costs 69,900-99,900 yuan (0.8-1.15 million rubles), it also has modifications with a more powerful 1.5 l turbo engine for 156 hp. In Brazil, 152,490 Brazilian reals (2.38 million rubles) are asked for the hybrid sedan Chery Arrizo 6 Pro. What options and prices will be offered to Russian buyers of the Omoda S5, it will be known very soon.

The size of the Omoda S5 roughly corresponds to sedans Kaiyi E5 or BAIC U5. Sedan dimensions: 4644 x 1814 x 1493 mm, wheelbase — 2650 mm.

The equipment will be quite rich. The list of options includes: climate control, heated seats, windshield and washer nozzles, rear view camera, electric sunroof, wireless smartphone charging, keyless access and engine start, stabilization system and cruise control. It is assumed that the sedan will have three trim levels.

The appearance of the Omoda S5 is also not a secret. The design of the sedan has already been shown in images from the OTTS, and recently a "live" copy was photographed in one of the parking lots. The car, unsurprisingly, is similar to the Chinese Chery Arrizo 5 Plus, as well as the Arrizo 6 Pro, which is sold in Brazil.
