Jeland is expanding its line: the J7 crossover with a turbo engine, all-wheel drive and rich equipment is presented.
The Russian brand Jeland continues to form its own line and introduced its second crossover - J7. The new product is already familiar to the market under the name Jaecoo J7, but now it is released under a local brand with adaptation to Russian conditions.
Prices and start dates for sales have not yet been announced, but the main characteristics and equipment have already been revealed.
Jeland J7 received a proven powertrain: a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and a seven-speed robotic gearbox.
Depending on the version, two options are available:
- front-wheel drive with a power of 150 hp;
- all-wheel drive with output of 186 hp
The all-wheel drive version is additionally equipped with an expanded set of driving modes - there are seven in total, which allows you to adapt the car to different road conditions.
The crossover received a modern set of equipment that meets the requirements of the segment. Already in the basic versions, up to six airbags, 18-inch wheels and an advanced heating system are announced.
Key options include a panoramic roof and ventilated front seats, which increases the level of travel comfort.
The interior of the Jeland J7 is focused on digitalization. The central place is occupied by the vertical display of the multimedia system with a diagonal of 13.2 inches.
The system is equipped with 16 GB of RAM and a Sony audio system with eight speakers. Additionally, there are all-round cameras and a wide range of electronic assistants, including adaptive cruise control.
Assembly of the Jeland J7 will be organized in Russia at the AGR plant in Shushary, where the brand’s first model, the J6 crossover, is already being produced.
Localization of production allows us to adapt cars to Russian operating conditions and maintain a competitive price level.
Jeland J7 enters the compact and mid-size crossover segment, where competition is especially high. At the same time, the model is based on an already known platform and proven technical solutions, complementing them with local assembly and adaptation.
Given that the Jaecoo J7 in Russia costs from 2.85 million rubles, we can expect that the version under the Jeland brand will maintain a comparable or more attractive price positioning.
The appearance of the J7 confirms the brand’s strategy: gradual expansion of the line through localized Chinese models aimed at mass demand and modern equipment requirements.
