BYD is preparing a flagship Great Han sedan with a length of more than 5 meters with a power reserve of over 1000 km and a hybrid version.
The BYD concern continues to expand the Dynasty line, preparing for the release of the large Great Han sedan. The new product will be a continuation of the idea inherent in the Great Tang crossover and will take its place among the brand’s flagship models.
The first official images have already been published, although the car is still hidden under camouflage. However, the key features of the design and concept have become clear.
The appearance of the Great Han is made in the corporate style of BYD, which echoes the Great Tang crossover. The sedan received similar lighting equipment, expressive body lines and massive bumpers.
At the same time, due to the body format, the accents are shifted towards elegance: a longer silhouette and highlighted wheel arches emphasize the status of the model. Like the crossover, buyers will be offered two-tone paint options.
The interior, according to preliminary data, will also borrow solutions from Great Tang, including the front panel architecture and digital environment.
BYD Great Han will be one of the largest sedans in the brand’s lineup. According to preliminary information, its length will be about 5.3 meters, and the wheelbase will be approximately 3.1 meters.
These dimensions bring the model into the executive car segment and allow you to count on a spacious interior with a high level of comfort.
The new product will be offered in two versions - as a fully electric car and as a hybrid. The electric version will have both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions.
The key element will be the second generation Blade battery, thanks to which the power reserve can reach 1008 kilometers in the single-wheel drive version. This is one of the highest indicators in the segment.
The hybrid version should offer increased autonomy and versatility, while maintaining a focus on long-distance trips.
The start of BYD Great Han sales is expected in the third quarter, and the model has every chance of becoming one of the key players in the segment of large electrified sedans.
Against the backdrop of rapid development of technology and growing interest in long-range electric vehicles, Great Han demonstrates BYD's strategy - to create cars that can compete with global brands not only in price, but also in terms of technology.
The appearance of such models confirms that Chinese manufacturers are increasingly exploring the segment of large executive cars, offering new standards of autonomy and equipment.
