The Chinese company Seres presented the Aiva Origin concept car - the first model of the new Aiva brand, under which electric vehicles and hybrids with deep integration of artificial intelligence will be produced. The serial version of the crossover should appear by the end of the year under the symbol Aiva ME7.
The creation of the new brand reflects Seres' strategic desire to reduce its dependence on its partnership with Huawei, which previously played a key role in the development of the Aito brand.
Unlike Aito’s projects, Huawei does not participate in the new Aiva brand. Instead, Seres is relying on other technology partners.
The decisions of ByteDance, the owner of TikTok, are responsible for the intellectual component. Cars will have access to the Doubao language model, which will become the basis for voice assistants and digital services. Semi-autonomous control systems are supplied by DeepRoute.ai.
The developers say that Aiva cars will not only be “smart”, but also be able to interact with the driver on an emotional level, creating a new user experience.
The Aiva Origin concept is made in the so-called biomechanical style. The cross-coupe is distinguished by a dynamic silhouette, pronounced muscular body shapes and original design solutions.
Among the key features are unusual lighting technology and non-standard wheels. Despite the spectacular appearance, the model’s interior and technical specifications have not yet been revealed.
Initially it was assumed that Aiva cars would be affordable, but now it is stated that the brand is targeting the segment above 200 thousand yuan. This means a more premium positioning and an emphasis on technology.
The main audience will be young and technology-oriented buyers. In the future, Aiva cars are planned to be supplied not only to the domestic market of China, but also for export.
The launch of the new brand was an important step for Seres, which in recent years has been heavily dependent on a joint project with Huawei. At the end of 2025, out of 472 thousand cars sold, 426 thousand were Aito models.
The creation of Aiva should diversify the business and reduce risks, while simultaneously opening up new areas of development - primarily through the integration of artificial intelligence and cooperation with other technology companies.
The Origin concept in this context is not just a show car, but a demonstration of the future, in which the car becomes part of the digital ecosystem and a full-fledged intelligent device.
