Sales of the new Foton Tunland G9 frame pickup truck have officially started on the Russian market - a model that attracts attention not only for its off-road capabilities, but also for its external resemblance to the legendary Ford F-150. However, behind the brutal design lies a completely independent development of the Chinese automaker Foton, adapted to the harsh operating conditions in Russia.

The Tunland G9 is built on a robust ladder frame and is powered by a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine producing 163 hp. and a torque of 365 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive with a reduction gear and a center differential lock. The load capacity reaches 1,080 kg, and the total weight is 2,850 kg, which allows the pickup to be used for both commercial tasks and outdoor activities.

The design really resembles the American F-150: a massive radiator grille, narrow LED headlights, clear hood lines and square wheel arches. But inside, everything is practical in the Chinese way: heated leather interior, digital dashboard, 10.1-inch central screen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control and even wireless charging. Particular attention is paid to sound insulation and comfort - a rarity for cars of this class.
