Sales of the new Geely Cityray have started in Russia

Geely Cityray, a compact crossover with a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 147 hp, launched in Russia on October 15. It offers front-wheel drive, a ground clearance of 185mm and a boot capacity of up to 1,271 litres.

On October 15, 2024, Geely officially launched sales of the new Cityray in Russia, expanding its model range in the compact crossover segment. The new product, which is known in its native Chinese market under the name Atlas Cool, is positioned as a stylish and technologically advanced car that can compete with other crossovers in its class.

Geely Cityray immediately attracts attention with its design solutions. Its appearance bears a clear resemblance to the Geely Atlas recently presented in Russia. Both cars are based on the Vision Starburst concept car, giving them a modern and futuristic look. The compact dimensions of the crossover (4510 x 1856 x 1650 mm) make it maneuverable in urban environments, and the wheelbase of 2701 mm adds stability on the road.

Despite its compact dimensions, the Geely Cityray pleases with a spacious luggage compartment. In the standard configuration, the volume is 571 liters, and if necessary, by folding the rear seats, you can get an impressive 1271 liters of free space.

Geely Cityray is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 147 hp, which has already proven itself in the Coolray model. This motor is paired with a 7-speed robot, providing smooth gear changes and dynamic acceleration. Cityray reaches a speed of 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds and average fuel consumption is 6.5 liters.

Geely Cityray has front-wheel drive, which is the best option for most urban conditions. However, the vehicle's ground clearance is 185 mm, which allows it to confidently cope with light off-road conditions. The rear multi-link suspension improves handling and ride comfort, which is especially important for Russian roads with their uneven surface.

Geely offers the Cityray in four trim levels, each of which is designed for different customer needs:

- Comfort from 2,399,990 rubles: includes 18-inch wheels, 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, multimedia system with 13.2-inch screen, cruise control and a set of “warm” options.

- Luxury from 2,549,990 rubles: adds a panoramic roof, expanded electronic assistants, improved finishing materials.

- Flagship from 2,669,990 rubles: equipped with 19-inch wheels, ambient interior lighting, electric tailgate.

- Flagship Sport from 2,709,990 rubles: added sporty accents in the design of the body and interior, which emphasize the dynamic character of the car.
