Dimensions and practicality: spacious interior at a compact price

With a length of 4616 mm Soueast S06 has a wheelbase of 2720 mm and ground clearance of 190 mm, which brings it closer to the older class of urban and family SUVs. The trunk volume reaches 977 liters with the second row folded, and already “in the base” the crossover is equipped with 19‑inch alloy wheels, which visually add status.

Such parameters make the S06 an interesting option for those who are looking for a Chinese passenger crossover with a good balance between size and price: the car is more compact than the S07 and S09, but at the same time, in terms of internal space and ground clearance, it is capable of fulfilling the tasks of a family car and country-tourist trips.

Prestige equipment: rich base and advantages of the all-wheel drive version

Even in the starting configuration, the Soueast S06 “Prestige” offers a set of options that are more typical for more expensive models. The initial equipment of the front-wheel drive version includes:
- Heating, electric mirrors.
- Electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats.
- Air conditioning and panoramic roof.
- Media system with two displays of 9.2 and 12.8 inches, Sony audio system with eight speakers.
- All-round cameras.
- Interior with artificial leather.

The all-wheel drive S06 1.6T 4WD “Prestige” for 3,479,000 rubles receives an expanded set of driving electronics modes, double glazing and a central screen enlarged to 15.6 inches of the media system. Instead of a conventional air conditioner, there is a dual-zone climate control with a fine filter and an air ionizer, which adds comfort in everyday use.

Production and place of S06 in the Russian Soueast line

Where exactly the Soueast S06 is assembled for the Russian market, the company does not officially specify: the releases refer to supplies from China, without directly indicating the plant. At the same time, at the end of 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Avtotor announced the localization of production of five models Soueast, Jetour and Changan at the Kaliningrad site, but only the flagship Soueast S09 appeared on the list, and S06 was not yet mentioned.

Currently, the Soueast brand in Russia is represented by three crossovers - S06, S07 and S09, and it is the S06 that becomes the most affordable offer, while maintaining a high level of equipment and the ability to choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. For buyers of Chinese passenger cars, this is another example of how manufacturers are bringing to the market “junior” models with non-budget internal content, increasing competition in the price range of about 3–3.5 million rubles.
