The large crossover Aito M9 has been seriously updated in China and has not risen in price

The flagship Aito M9 has become more powerful, longer-range and has received an extended version, while maintaining the same price level.

Evolution of the Aito flagship

The joint brand of Huawei and Seres presented an updated version of the flagship crossover Aito M9. The model has received serious technical improvements, has become more technologically advanced and long-range, while maintaining the same price level.

The starting price remained at 479,800 yuan, and the top version is estimated at 659,800 yuan. Despite the expanded capabilities, the manufacturer managed to maintain the price, which strengthens the competitive position of the model.

Dimensions and new version

Externally, the Aito M9 has changed minimally, but has become slightly larger even in the standard version. Its dimensions are now 5285x2026x1845 mm with a wheelbase of 3125 mm.

The main innovation was an extended version with a length of about 5.4 meters and a wheelbase increased to 3236 mm. It features a more expressive finish with additional chrome elements and is focused on maximum passenger comfort.

Power and propulsion units

The Aito M9 is still offered in hybrid and all-electric versions, but both have received updated powertrains.

Standard modifications are equipped with two electric motors: 299 hp. on the front axle and 377 hp. on the rear, providing all-wheel drive and high dynamics.

The hybrid version is equipped with batteries with a capacity of 60 or 75 kWh, which allows you to travel up to 340 or 422 kilometers on electric power. Taking into account the gasoline engine-generator, the total range reaches 1,405 kilometers.

The fully electric version has a 120 kWh battery and is capable of traveling up to 750 kilometers without recharging.

The extended version with a three-motor hybrid installation and a 2.0-liter internal combustion engine deserves special attention. The total power reaches 903 hp, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes only 3.99 seconds.

Technology and comfort

Aito M9 continues to rely on high-tech equipment. The crossover received an adaptive suspension with pneumatic elements, a rear wheel steering system and an advanced set of driver assistants.

The security system uses six lidars at once, which indicates a high level of automation.

The cabin is available in five- and six-seat configurations, and a four-seat version with maximum comfort is expected in the future.

Demand and prospects

Interest in the model remains high: even before the start of sales of the updated Aito M9, more than 50 thousand pre-orders were placed.

Previously, the launch of the model on the Russian market was postponed due to high demand in China, but with the release of the updated version, the likelihood of the crossover appearing outside of China increases again.

The Aito M9 demonstrates how quickly Chinese manufacturers are developing the premium segment, offering a combination of power, technology and autonomy previously found in more expensive cars from global brands.
