The executive sedan Hongqi Guoya was released in Russia with a price starting from 27.7 million rubles and hybrid engines V6 and V8.
Moscow hosted a presentation of the Hongqi Guoya executive sedan, which is entering the Russian market in the ultra-premium car segment. The new product is positioned as a competitor to the Aurus Senat and an alternative to the outgoing Mercedes-Maybach S-Class models.
The starting price is 27.7 million rubles, while the top version is priced at 31.7 million rubles - noticeably lower than the cost of the Aurus Senat, which starts at approximately 47 million rubles.
Hongqi Guoya is a full-size sedan with a length of 5353 mm and a wheelbase of 3260 mm. These dimensions provide a spacious interior and emphasize the status of the model as a luxury car.
Depending on the version, the sedan is offered in both a classic five-seater configuration and a more luxurious four-seater version with individual second-row seats.
The model is available with two hybrid powertrain options. The basic version is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 biturbo engine producing 380 hp. and 570 Nm of torque.
The older modification received a 4.0-liter V8 developing 476 hp. and 680 Nm. In both cases, an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission is used with an integrated electric motor producing 218 hp, and the drive is all-wheel drive.
Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 5.5 seconds for the V6 version and 4.5 seconds for the V8 version, which is impressive for a car in this class.
Hongqi Guoya focuses on the maximum level of comfort. The front seats are trimmed with Nappa leather and have 24 power adjustments, as well as heating, ventilation and 20-zone massage functions.
The back row in the top version offers 22 directions of adjustment, retractable ottomans and the ability to recline the backrest up to 135.5 degrees. Additionally, a 4D vibration system is provided.
Equipment includes four-zone climate control with antibacterial filtration, a 32-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system, a 14.2-inch OLED multimedia display and a separate control panel for rear passengers.
The sedan is built using aluminum elements in the structure and is equipped with independent suspension at the front and rear. Air suspension with adaptive shock absorbers allows you to change the ground clearance in the range from −11 to +45 mm.
This configuration provides a balance between ride and handling, consistent with the level of an executive car.
The release of Hongqi Guoya increases competition in the luxury sedan segment in Russia. The model offers comparable levels of comfort and technology at a more affordable price compared to the Aurus Senat.
Amid the preparation of new projects, including localized models based on Chinese platforms, interest in such cars can only grow. Hongqi, in turn, continues to strengthen its position as one of the key Chinese brands in the premium segment.
