The Qijing GT7 electric station wagon with Huawei technology and a range of up to 900 km is entering the market: pre-orders will open at the end of May.
At the end of May, pre-orders will open for the GT7 electric station wagon from the new Qijing brand, created as part of the cooperation between GAC and Huawei. Prices will be announced simultaneously with the start of pre-orders. The model will appear in international markets under the Aistaland brand.
The new product has already attracted attention thanks to its combination of characteristics and design, for which it is unofficially called the “Taycan killer.”
The Qijing GT7 is designed in the format of a sports station wagon and the style clearly has something in common with the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo. At the same time, the Chinese model even surpasses it in size: length is 5050 mm, width - 1980 mm, height - 1470 mm, and the wheelbase reaches 3000 mm.
The body has not only an expressive silhouette, but also practical solutions: all doors are equipped with double-layer acoustic double-glazed windows, which increases the level of comfort in the cabin.
GT7 is built on a modern 800-volt architecture with support for ultra-fast 6C charging. When connected to an appropriate station, the battery can be charged from 0 to 100% in just 10 minutes.
The basic version is equipped with one electric motor with a power of 340 hp, while the top version will receive a three-motor installation and acceleration to 100 km/h in 2.98 seconds. The maximum power reserve of the single-engine version reaches 900 kilometers on the CLTC cycle.
The function of powering external devices with a power of up to 1000 W is also provided, which expands the scenarios for using the car.
The model is based on Huawei Qiankun Chitu digital architecture, which provides almost instantaneous response of control systems - from steering to braking.
The car is equipped with an air suspension with adaptive shock absorbers that adapt to the road terrain in advance thanks to a pre-scanning system for the surface.
Key technologies include Huawei Xpixel matrix headlights with a resolution of up to a million pixels and image projection function, as well as an 896-line lidar. The Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 complex with autopilot, automatic parking and collision avoidance functions is responsible for safety.
The GT7 interior is focused on a high level of comfort and digitalization. The equipment includes an 88-inch head-up display with augmented reality and a 15.6-inch central multimedia screen powered by HarmonyOS.
Huawei Sound AI audio system with 21 speakers is complemented by atmospheric lighting with 256 colors. The front seats are equipped with a “zero gravity” function, have 16 electrical adjustments and 10-point massage, and the rear seats offer backrest tilt adjustment.
Practicality is also at a high level: the front trunk volume is 215 liters, and the rear trunk volume is from 647 to 1606 liters.
The launch of the Qijing GT7 reflects the intensifying competition in the premium electric car segment. Chinese manufacturers are actively developing a niche previously dominated by European brands.
In parallel, models similar in spirit are appearing in other brands: for example, MG recently introduced the large 07 sedan with hybrid and electric versions.
The Qijing GT7, combining Huawei's advanced technologies, high power and an impressive range, has every chance to become one of the most prominent representatives of the new generation of Chinese electric vehicles.
