Geely Galaxy A7 will receive an updated hybrid powertrain with a range of up to 2,100 km on one tank. Thanks to the improved EM-i system, a 60-liter tank and a 23.5 kWh battery, the sedan will be able to travel up to 150 km on electric power.
The Chinese auto industry continues the race for maximum efficiency: Geely announced an updated version of its flagship hybrid sedan Galaxy A7, which will receive a class-record range of up to 2,100 kilometers on one tank of fuel. This became possible thanks to the modernization of the power plant and the introduction of new technology for managing energy flows.
The basis of the update is the next generation advanced hybrid module EM-i. It uses a more compact and lighter traction electric motor (power - 160 kW), as well as a 1.5-liter Atkinson cycle turbo engine, optimized to operate exclusively in the maximum efficiency zone. Thanks to an intelligent system for switching between pure electric, generator and shared modes, average fuel consumption is reduced to 3.1 l/100 km in the combined cycle.
The fuel tank has been increased to 60 liters, and the capacity of the traction battery has been increased to 23.5 kWh, which allows you to travel up to 150 km in all-electric mode. But the main thing is not the numbers in the specification, but the real range: at a speed of 90 km/h on the highway, the Galaxy A7 can travel more than two thousand kilometers without refueling, which makes it an ideal car for intercity trips.
The design of the sedan remains the same - elegant, with smooth lines, hidden handles and LED optics - but there has been a real evolution under the hood and in the software. Sound insulation has also been improved and the suspension has been improved for greater comfort on long routes.
The new version of the Galaxy A7 will go on sale in China in the first quarter of 2026, and its export, including possible entry into the Russian market, is planned for the second half of the year. Expected price - from 200,000 yuan (~2.4 million rubles).
Thus, Geely is not just improving the hybrid - it is redefining the concept of “long-range” for a passenger car. In an era where charging is still not as accessible as gas stations, such solutions become not a technological demonstration, but a practical answer to the needs of millions of drivers. And the Galaxy A7 is one of the most convincing.
