The Changan sedan and crossover sold in Russia have become economical hybrids

Changan added hybrid versions to the Eado Plus (Lamore) sedan and the CS75 Plus crossover - fuel consumption dropped to 3.98–4.69 liters per 100 km.

Expansion of the hybrid line

The Changan company continues to develop hybrid technologies by introducing new versions of two popular models at once - the Eado Plus sedan (known in Russia as Lamore) and the CS75 Plus crossover. Both new products received non-rechargeable hybrid units (HEV), aimed at reducing fuel consumption without the need for external charging.

This approach makes the models more economical and convenient for everyday use.

CS75 Plus hybrid crossover

The CS75 Plus HEV crossover is equipped with a power plant that combines a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a power of 150 hp. and a 245 hp electric motor. The system includes a compact battery with a capacity of 1.7 kWh, which is charged exclusively by the internal combustion engine and the recuperation system.

The front-wheel drive crossover is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds, while the declared fuel consumption is only 4.69 liters per 100 kilometers.

In addition to technical changes, the model received an updated appearance with a more massive radiator grille, and three displays appeared in the cabin, enhancing the sense of technology.

Economy sedan Eado Plus

The Eado Plus HEV sedan uses a similar hybrid scheme, but with less powerful components: the gasoline engine develops 98 hp, and the electric motor develops 218 hp.

Despite this, the dynamics remain at a decent level - acceleration to 100 km/h takes 7.56 seconds. The main advantage is efficiency: fuel consumption is stated at 3.98 liters per 100 kilometers.

This makes the model one of the most efficient in its class among cars with traditional power plants.

Prices and positioning

In the Chinese market, the CS75 Plus Hybrid is priced between RMB 121,900 and RMB 139,900, while the Eado Plus HEV is priced between RMB 89,900 and RMB 99,900. Thus, hybrid technologies remain accessible to the mass segment.

Given the presence of both models on the Russian market, the appearance of hybrid versions could be a logical next step for the brand.

Prospects in Russia

The expansion of Changan's hybrid line reflects the general trend towards increasing fuel efficiency without moving towards all-electric vehicles. For the Russian market, such solutions are especially relevant due to the combination of cost-effectiveness and independence from the charging infrastructure.

In parallel, the company is preparing to launch the updated Uni-V liftback, which will have a more powerful engine and a sportier character. All this indicates Changan's desire to strengthen its position in various segments, offering a wide range of technologies and formats.
