Prices without discounts and discount amount

The start of sales of the electric crossover GAC Aion V has been announced in Russia, which has become the first official GAC electric model in our market. The new product is available in two trim levels:
- EX - at a price of 4,299,000 rubles excluding promotions and support programs.
- EX Premium - for 4,599,000 rubleswithout discounts.

Previously, the manufacturer named promotional prices taking into account the discount: 3,999,000 rubles for EX and 4,299,000 rubles for EX Premium, that is, the discount amount reaches 300,000 rubles within the framework of special offers (trade-in, credit and etc.).

Technique: 204 hp, 75.26 kWh and up to 580 km range

GAC Aion Vis equipped withone front electric motor producing 204 hp. (210 Nm)and front-wheel drive; acceleration to 100 km/h takes about 7.9 seconds. Power is provided by a lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 75.26 kWh, which according to the Chinese NEDC cycle provides a range of up to 580 kilometers (in reality, closer to 500–550 km in mixed mode).

An important feature for the wallet: transport tax for the Aion V is calculated not on the peak power of 204 hp, but on the maximum 30-minute power of 61 hp. (45 kW)specified in the PTS. This makes owning an electric crossover noticeably cheaper than a gasoline crossover of a similar class in terms of tax burden.

Charging: up to 180 kW and 24 minutes to 80%

The electric crossover is equipped with Type 2 and CCS2 connectors and can accept charging current with a power of up to 180 kW at fast stations. According to the manufacturer, with this power, charging from 10 to 80% takes about 24 minutes, and from 30 to 80% takes about 16 minutes, which makes the Aion V quite suitable for long trips with short stops.

For home and slow city charging, standard AC charging modes via Type 2 are available, which allows owners to adjust energy consumption to night rates.

Equipment: “rich base” and premium features in EX Premium

The cabin of the GAC Aion V features a 14.6‑inch central multimedia system screen and an 8.9‑inch digital instrument panel, plus an audio system with nine speakers. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, as well as integrated services of Yandex and VK, which is especially important for the Russian market.

On the outside, the crossover is distinguished by 19‑inch wheels and integrated door handles, and in terms of lighting technology, the base already offers all-LED head and rear optics, plus a high beam assistant.

Basic package EX includes:
- Parking sensors front and rear, light and rain sensors.
- Electric tailgatewith height memory function.
- Panoramic roof.
- Heated and ventilated front seats, as well as atmospheric interior lighting.

The top version EX Premium additionally offers:
- Front seat massage function.
- Folding table for second row passengers.
- Built-in refrigerator with a capacity of 6.6 literswith a temperature range from –15 to +50 °C.
- Expanded package of assistants: adaptive cruise control, frontal and rear collision warning systems, lane departure warning and lane keeping, blind spot monitoring and seven airbags.

Aion V’s place in the GAC line-up and in the Chinese EV market

The

Aion V opens up the Russian market of official electric vehicles for GAC, complementing the already presented hybrid crossover S7 and the certified, but not yet commercially available, electric Hyptec HT. If the GAC S7 (from 5,699,000 rubles without discounts) fills the niche of a large all-wheel drive hybrid, then the Aion V at a price of 4.3–4.6 million rubles becomes an accessible entry point into the premium Chinese electric crossover.

For the Russian market, this is another step towards expanding the choice of Chinese passenger electric vehicles: at a similar cost to well-equipped gasoline crossovers, the Aion V offers low transport tax, a cheap “fuel” part and rich equipment already included in the base, which makes it an interesting option for those who are ready to switch to electric traction, but do not want to give up the usual level of comfort.
