The gigantic hybrid Geely Galaxy M9 will officially arrive in Russia: the dates are known

Flagship six-seat crossover Geely Galaxy M9 with a hybrid system up to 870 hp. and a power reserve of up to 1505 km will officially enter the Russian market in the fall.

Sources in the dealer community have confirmed that Geely is preparing the official launch of the flagship Galaxy M9 crossover on the Russian market. According to preliminary data, certified cars should appear at dealers in the fall, while now the M9 enters the country only through parallel imports.

Thus, by 2026, Geely will complement the Russian line with another large hybrid flagship, which will become the top point of the brand’s model range and a direct competitor to such giants as the Aito M9 and Lixiang L9.

Dimensions and layout: six-seat flagship

Geely Galaxy M9 is the largest crossover in the brand’s current range. Its dimensions are 5205x1999x1800 mm with a wheelbase of 3030 mm, which puts the model on par with full-size SUVs of the Mercedes‑Benz GLS level.

The cabin has a six-seat 2+2+2 layout: the second row has separate seats, and the third row is designed for adult passengers. This solution emphasizes the premium positioning of the M9 - it is not just a large crossover, but a comfortable “home on wheels” for long trips with the whole family.

Hybrid powertrains and range

All versions of the Galaxy M9 use the NordThor AI Hybrid 2.0 plug-in hybrid system, combining a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine with one or more electric motors and CATL batteries.

For front-wheel drive modifications, an electric motor with a power of 245 hp is provided. and two battery options:
- 18.4 kWh - up to 100 km on electric power and a total of about 1325 km of travel;
- 41.46 kWh - up to 230 km on electric power and up to 1505 km of total mileage on the CLTC cycle.

The top all-wheel drive version is equipped with three electric motors: two rear ones are added to the front one, and the total power reaches 870 hp. With a 41.46 kWh battery, this modification is capable of driving up to 210 km in all-electric mode, and the declared range in the hybrid cycle is about 1,300 km. At the same time, fast charging of the 3C standard allows you to replenish the charge from 30 to 80% in about 15 minutes.

Equipment: salon-cinema and advanced technology

In terms of equipment, the Galaxy M9 is made with a clear focus on the premium segment. Key options include:
- air suspension with adjustable ride height and fully controlled chassis with steering rear axle;
- heating and ventilation of the seats of the first and second rows;
- 30‑inch front panel display and 32‑inch projection screen;
- 17.3" overhead entertainment screen;
- audio system with 27 speakers.

The backs of the third row seats can recline at an angle of up to 150 degrees, turning the gallery into a full-fledged relaxation area. The package of assistants includes the G‑Pilot complex with a lidar and a set of cameras, capable of providing advanced autopilot on the highway and in the city, as well as automatic parking.

Current prices and expectations from the official market

Through parallel import, the 870-horsepower Galaxy M9 is already present on the Russian market: according to specialized sites, they are offered either on order or from stock at prices in the range of 5.4–6.35 million rubles, depending on the configuration and delivery route.

How much the officially certified Galaxy M9 will cost is still unknown: Geely does not disclose the price range, and dealers are expecting announcements closer to the start of sales. However, taking into account its flagship status, rich equipment and sophisticated hybrid technology, we can expect that the M9 will be at the top of the brand's price range and will become one of the most expensive Chinese models on the Russian market, competing in level with the imported Aito M9 and Lixiang L9.
