Chery Tiggo 9 for Russia: all about the start of sales and price

Chery has officially announced the start of sales of its new flagship crossover Tiggo 9 on the Russian market. The car is expected to appear in dealerships from December 17, 2024. However, those who are interested in purchasing the model can already pre-order, which ends on December 16. It is important to note that the prepayment is 30,000 rubles, and the cost of the car for those who have time to pre-order will start from 4.19 million rubles.

Chery Tiggo 9 for the Russian market will be equipped with a gasoline 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a power of 249 hp. The torque is 375 Nm and is available in the range from 1750 to 4000 rpm, which allows the crossover to accelerate to 100 km/h in 8 seconds. The crossover is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission developed by Chery and a Torque-on-Demand all-wheel drive system.

The new product is built on the innovative T2X platform, which provides high body rigidity and improved safety performance. The dimensions of the car are 4810 mm in length, 1925 mm in width and 1741 mm in height. The wheelbase is 2800 mm, which provides a spacious and comfortable interior with seven seats arranged in a 2+3+2 configuration.

Inside, Chery Tiggo 9 offers a high level of comfort and technology. The crossover is equipped with a 10.3-inch digital instrument panel and a large 15.6-inch touchscreen multimedia system with Ultra HD resolution. For the convenience of the driver and passengers, wireless synchronization functions are available via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Navi program, which is integrated into the car’s on-board computer, is used as standard navigation.

In addition, the salon has access to online services from VK, including “VK Music”, “VK Video”, “VK News” and “VK Messenger”. The crossover is also equipped with an automatic parking system that uses ultrasonic radar and all-round cameras, which makes maneuvering easier in tight city conditions. To ensure safety, 10 airbags are provided.

One of the features of the Tiggo 9 is the presence of a telematics system that allows owners to control various vehicle functions through the Chery Connect mobile application. This includes starting the engine, operating the climate control, locking and unlocking the doors, and being able to locate the vehicle in a parking lot. All data on the condition of the car will be available through the application for both iOS and Android users.

After the launch of the petrol version of Chery Tiggo 9 in Russia, the company also plans to introduce a hybrid version of the model. Its deliveries are expected to begin no earlier than spring 2025. This will expand the choice for those looking for more environmentally friendly solutions in the large crossover category.
